We have been over consuming our natural resources for a long time. I think it sounds insane when reading things like "humans have altered 75% of the planet’s land surface". This is a massive impact we're making to the nature and we should be very aware on the effects our actions have. Each ecosystem has a very unique biodiversity and each being has their own important part to play for the ecosystem. Most of all we need to recognize that everything we do here has an impact and everything is connected. By learning to do more and better, we could hopefully regain some of the species and biodiversity losses.

Since cities are growing each day, we should try to utilize all the possibilities we have to bring urban biodiversity to those cities. Finding new ways to integrate buildings and plants and aiming to the life more together with the nature instead separating it from us, would have a huge impact. Green areas in the cities have been proven to be good for people's mental health among other things. So having nature areas in cities actually helps us as well. This is something worth noting in my opinion, the nature takes care of us so we must take care of it back.

Gaining knowledge on different ways to help nature recover is a key factor in this change. When you know more of the different ways to act, it makes the changes easier and not too intimidating to go for. It also helps us to find best ways to act on certain areas, depending on how the stage of nature is there and what kind of ecosystems thrive there. So it goes without saying that education plays a big role in this, but also the local knowledge is very important. We need to be able to address these topics and justify them to the legal parts, as they can make the biggest changes for rulings which everyone else needs to follow.
